Insurance and bonding are not paperwork formalities. They are the documents that determine who bears the cost if something goes wrong in your building. Before signing any cleaning contract, you should receive a certificate of insurance, confirm that workers' compensation is current, and verify that the bond covers the scope of work being performed.
Our Coverage
El Mirage Commercial Cleaning carries general liability insurance appropriate for commercial cleaning operations in occupied facilities. Our coverage protects your property in the event of accidental damage caused by our crew during the course of their work.
We carry workers' compensation coverage for all crew members. This is the coverage that matters most to facility managers who may not think about it until an incident occurs: if a crew member is injured in your building and the cleaning contractor does not carry workers' comp, the exposure can fall on your liability policy. Our coverage is current and verifiable.
We are bonded. Commercial cleaning bonds protect clients against theft by crew members while on the premises. The bond does not replace crew vetting — we conduct background screening — but it provides a documented remedy if a claim arises.
Certificate of Insurance
We provide a certificate of insurance before the first clean, not on request after the relationship starts. If you are a property manager whose building owner requires it, or a facilities director whose compliance checklist requires it, we have it ready.
What to Ask Any Cleaning Contractor
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Can you provide a certificate of insurance before first service? | If they cannot, the coverage may be lapsed or limited |
| Is workers' compensation current for all crew? | Expired WC creates exposure for the building owner |
| Are you bonded? | Relevant for key-access facilities |
| Who is named as additionally insured? | Your building owner may require additional insured status |
We can add a building owner or property management company as an additional insured on the certificate at no additional charge. Request it at the proposal stage.
22 Years in Business
Insured and bonded contractors who have been in business for 22 years exist because they have not had claims that disqualified them from coverage. Our 22-year track record is itself a form of verification — insurance carriers have seen our history.
